Need some help!
My husband will be attending Snow College starting in August but he will leave to go there either in May or June. Our two sons and myself will be moving up there sometime around August or September. We currently live in Hawaii. So it'll be a big change culturally, financially, and also of course the weather. I wanted to know how Ephraim is and the surrounding cities. How are the jobs? Is it easy to find a job? What about schools and day care? Any help is appreciated thanks!

Ephraim is very small. At least the last time I was there it was. Perhaps someone might have more current info. Will you be living there in town? Hawaii to Ephraim sounds like a HUGE change. Any reason he chose Snow College?

Lol yes HUGE change sounds about right. My husband did say Ephraim is very small and kinda in the middle of no where. He was looking into University of Utah but i have no idea what happened. I think he will probably try to transfer later i guess. He has family in Salt Lake City and he was up there recently checking out the University and Snow. I guess at Snow they were more willing to work with him.

Oh okay. Family in SLC. That's good. Perhaps they can help with more info. I'm in the SL valley too. I transferred to the U from UVU (Utah Valley University)....but back then I think it was UVSC.
I hope your adjustment to Ephraim goes well.

The job market will be poor there. You are in SanPete County which has only a few small towns in it. Perhaps, the largest is Manti, but it only has a few thousand people. The others are Ephraim with Snow College and Fairview. Its kind of an isolate area. No freeways run through it. Its all two lane roads and highways. I think its about 60 miles from Provo. The weather will be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I think you'll only find public schools there. I don't know much about them.
