I am relocating to Utah and have gotten rid of most of my possessions with the exception of about 20 boxes. I plan to stay at some motel while looking for a house to buy, but does anyone know of a way to ship these boxes to Utah and have them there for me until I buy a house? I contacted PODS and they are very expensive for just 20 boxes. Any idea?

If I had an address already set up I would ship them there.

any sort of moving company is going to be fairly expensive. Your cheapest route would be to rent a Uhaul and then find a storage unit when you get to Utah. Depending on the size of the boxes you would probably only need a small 10X10 storage unit, and you probably would need a very small Uhaul as well

Thanks for the response, but I will be traveling with my large dog and wife and driving in a UHaul would be very difficult. I wish I could mail them to a storage place but do not know if I could trust anyone I don't know or have not dealt with before.

You could use one of the national moving companies like Atlas to move your stuff, but I don't know if that would be any less expensive than PODS or if it would be worth it for 20 boxes. They usually have some sort of guarantee if something comes up missing or breaks. Do you have any family where you're moving from? Maybe you could rent a storage unit there and when you get an address they could ship it to you.
