Default Cedar City

Does anyone know about the employment status in Cedar City, is it Bad? Good? We are looking at Cedar City as a possible relocation site. We live in Yuma,AZ, the highest unemployment city in the Unnited States, it just really sucks here, 115 degress outside,right now, another reason for the potential move. We really need a change and soon. So any help would be appreciated.

Thanks;

The unemployment rate in Cedar City is lower than the national rate, but...
Many are "underemployed"
It is a college town
There are few employment opportunities because it is a small town, not many big businesses and they often get filled word of mouth.
There are a few manufacturing plants and a proposed business park that is stalled right now due to economy.

Here is a site I found
Cedar City Jobs (UT) | Simply Hired

A lot depends on your qualifications. The Hospital and School District are two of the biggest employers.
It is a lovely place to live though!
