Zion NP, and the Subway (big picture warning)
We hiked out to the Subway on Friday, and I thought I'd share a few pictures. Sorry they're so huge, but they look better that way.

HOLY! That's amazing. I'd love to be able to visit there some day... UT as a state looks just as amazing as AZ from all the gorgeous pics I've seen!

Breath taking!
Do you know what setting you use to get the bluish tint in the water (esp the first photo).
This is really nice work!

Thanks, Folks! Glad you liked the shots.
alexei27 -- The bluish water isn't a feature. It's an artifact of my processing -- a mistake if you will. Most of these shots are HDR, which means high definition rendering. They're constructed from three different exposures, then "tone mapped" which allows the camera to capture the dynamic range of the scene which otherwise exceeds that of the camera. It also enhances the contrast and colors to some degree. But in this case, it added a color cast which is bad. I actually have another version processed as a non-HDR. It fixed the color cast, but it has some problems as well. So that shot is still a work in progress.
The camera used was a Canon 5DMII. However, the techniques used in capturing and processing these photos are way more important than the camera used. It's kind of like asking a chef what kind of pots and pans he uses.
Here are some more shots from that same trip.
Upper Emerald Pool reflection (yes, that's how it looked!)
Sunset at the Watchman Viewpoint
I just love Zion and southern Utah in general, and can't wait to go back.

Are you a professional photographer, kdog? If you're not, you should be. They are absolutely gorgeous!!!! You need to go to Bryce Canyon on your next trip to Utah. I will be watching and waiting to see the pictures you share of Bryce. Thanks for sharing these. I can't even tell you how incredible they are!
