Default Rental housing help

My husband is considering a job transfer with Boeing. He would like to rent a 1 or 2 bedroom house outside of Salt Lake City with rent around $350 - $450. He would like to live in a small town with low crime rate. Is the rent price realistic? Any suggestions for towns? We aren't LDS.

Where is Boeing located? Is it north, south, east, or west of SLC? I would only consider rental units east of 11th East. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING BETWEEN 5th East and 10th West. You will regret it!

According to yellow pages.com, the address is 1215 North 2200 West. From the map, it's close to SLC International Airport. He wants to live outside SLC where, hopefully, he can get cheaper rent.

After looking for places to stay, the lowest houses we came across were around $700. We grabbed a triplex with about $650 rent in Midvale. Still waiting to see if that was a decent idea.

Lowest apartments we found outside the SLC area were around $550 for a 1 bedroom. Of course that was south of SLC. Didn't look north all that much.

Check out Craig's List, decent place to find a deal.
