I've been to Joe's Place and their corn is good. Are there any other places in East Vancouver where I can buy locally grown sweet corn?

can find good corn at Camas Produce, Cub (winco), gateway produce, chucks, and QFC BUT... optimal corn is less than 1/2 hr from pick to pot. (grow your own or find a farmer friend.

Pierce a kernal with your thumbnail, If it squirts you in the eye or shoots across the aisle and hits the produce manager It is still fresh enough to prepare or blanch for canning.

I also try to frequent farmers markets and 'The Barn' (148th ave near Airport way Costco)

Of course the ultimate Farmer's Market is "Gorge Grown' Mobile Farmer's market. You can catch them in Stevenson and get a good brew at Walking Man while you are there. And of course a CHEAP swim in the GREAT HS lap pool... (Vancouver could only dream of such benefits Without the Pristine view.... too bad.) The $2 trip from Fisher's Landing Transit is the ultimate SC bargain. Make a FINE day of it.

In Van? Take a nice country drive out to "The Wack" and get the best corn there? The Wack = Chilliwack.
