62 year old mom and grandmother just relocated to Vancouver, Wa. Desperately need all household items. Starting from scratch. Need beds, sofa, chair, dressers, linens, dinnerware, cookware, flatware. Must be affordable or donated. Very low on finances. Appreciate anything and am willing to make payments on affordable vehicle so I can have transportation to doctor and shopping. Thank you.
Temporarily staying with a friend. will also need an affordable 1 or 2 bedroom place to rent preferably 600 dollars or less because of fixed income.

visit the following shelter / transition places for advising:
Open House ministries
Share House
Vancouver Housing Authority
Treasure House (Camas / Washougal)
There is a Goodwill distribution place on 117thAve that sells bulk stuff by the pound (I have never been there)

Donated / free / traded-in Furniture is often available from One Stop Home Furnishings in Camas. You can call them, but they typically leave it on the dock on weekends, available for free pickup. (Unless you are close, I wouldn't make the trip unless you call first, or have your host call a Camas / Washougal friend and have them check it out).

For cars, contact Portland Rescue Mission, they have a whole car 'operation' (fix and sell their donations). http://www.portlandrescuemission.org/end-homelessness/donate-items/vehicles/ (broken link)

Or, post 'wanted ad' at a church (or CL). Many of the local churches do car repairs / maint for the needy on a regular weekend schedule.
