Default Relocating to Ridgefield area

Hello. We will be relocating to the Ridgefield area in late October. I have 2 kids, 1 in highschool, 1 in middle school. I will probably be looking to get a job in the vancouver/portland area. How long of a commute will that be? We will be renting, so is Ridgefield a good area to rent? I have heard great things about the schools there. Any feedback on schools, rentals, commute, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Kim
