We have been hunting for a restaurant we like for a year and have finally found one we can recommend. New owners have just opened ‘Great Taste Chinese Restaurant’ in a location that still has ‘Thai Pan’ signage. This place has very good food and service… better than I have found in the many we tried in Vancouver and the few we have tried in Portland.

It is located in the strip mall (Vancouver Park Place) across Thurston from the Westfield Mall in the corner of the complex that has Olive Garden in front. The address is 8101 NE Parkway Dr., suite E4.

Price might be a dollar higher than some but it was worth every penny in the two stops we made.

I have no association with this place and just found it by chance as we try (and have been disappointed in) every Chinese place we see. I am just excited we found a place we enjoy and want to share the find.

There's a great sushi place in that same strip mall, it's call Oishi. It's down past TJ Maxx on next to Supercuts. If you like sushi, I highly recommend it.

BTW, thanks for the tip on the Chinese restaurant.

Thai Orchid downtown, on the corner of Evergreen and Washington I believe, is pretty good. On the East side, there is a place on Chkalov that is real good. It's called Thai Terrace. Good food, decent prices and excellent service. I go there for lunch all the time.

some general tso's at the chinese place on 4th plain, more west side, when heading toward I-5 its just past the Freddies and is on your left. I think ARby's is across the street from it. Its in a tiny strip mall with a butehr on the corner.
