Question Where are Best schools in Vancouver Wa

I live in N. Portland and am planning on moving to Vancouver Wa or Camas this summer. I know Camas has great schools but I am not sure which schools are good in Vancouver. Can anyone help me out?

Thank you

Default Best Schools in Vancouver

I've lived in Vancouver a long time, and have 3 children and many nieces and nephews in Vancouver schools. The best are: Mt. View, Columbia River, and Skyview for HS.

Stay away from: Fort Vancouver, Hudson's Bay, and BattleGround.

My brother has a special ed child and moved out of N. Portland about 6 years ago. They like the new Camas schools, but they live in an expensive area.

Default Moving too from out of state

We are moving too from out of state. I am wondering about schools as well. I am coming from a charter school where my 4th grader is doing 5th grade math and language arts. What schools are there that will help her to progress and not stiffle her or hold her back. She was bored for 2 years and I don't want to do that. If there are some great schools, I would like to know about them so that we can look for homes in those areas. How are the schools in Washougal?

All schools is the Hockinson district are exceptional for college bound students - very rigorous, high parent and community involvement, .5% drop out rate compared to 5-6% in all other Vancouver districts.

Default Schools

The schools in Camas are good. Also as said Fisher Landings schools are also real good. Hockinson has a great school system. For Vancouver I would stick with Skyview and maybe even Col River. Try and stay away from Hudsons Bay, and Fort.

Geographically this means you can find good schools east in Camas and Fishers Landing, West in Skyview and Col River, and Northeast in Hockinson. So what becomes the real decision is what area do you need to live in for transportaion to and from work, and do you prefer a city feel or like the country?

Default Thanks!

We would like a little property as we have a dog and 2 cats. Husband is doing a 45 minute commute now so anything up to that is fine. He will be working in Vancouver. What are Orchard and Camas like? We live rural now and love the feel. I am a farm girl at heart and am not opposed to kids bussing to school, I just want a quality education for my kids so that they have a good start for college. I am looking for elementary schools as I will have a K, 2, and 5th grader this fall. the other question that I have is when do I have to register them and what immunizations are required.
