Leavingphilly2009 is on a distinguished road
Default Colleges in or around Vancouver area

My family and I are relocating to Vancouver over the summer and I have 2 burning questions about High Schools and Colleges in the area.

I have an high school senior who is coming with us and would like to register for classes at a community college that offers technology. I also have an high school freshman to be, and I would like some choice on high school around the area for her that offers or specialize in graphic arts. She won't be driving so it have to be somewhere commutible.

Thank You

Clark College (downtown Vancouver) offers good technology, Check with admissions and with Running Start coordinator, Linda is a very good source of info.
Academics - Running Start

Portland Community College (and probably Clark too) offer good graphic arts options. She can take the bus into Portland, but the Albina Campus of PCC may not be the safest place for a teenage girl, she might be best sticking with Clark and Transferring to a more specific program after a couple years.

I would be tempted to live near Ft. Vancouver, even renting an Officer's Row home for awhile. It is close to transit and walkable to Clark College.
