Question Rural Portland/Vancouver "Woodland would be great"

I have been looking and looking for a house to rent that is out of town. I may be relocating very shortly and my long search has not produced anything. I have three well behaved, clean and non destructive dogs. Would be great to give them a little more space outside the city. I have looked and looked, Craig's list, The Columbian, Oregonian, etc. Does anyone have any idea how I might secure a nice rural setting? Thanks for any advice.

Default Try the traffic

If you are commuting into Portland, I would suggest you test out the traffic during the hours you'd be driving. One reason we left the state was because we wanted the rural life but couldn't deal with the traffic into Portland.... felt like we were back in So Cal.
