There is in Vancouver a place called "SHARE HOUSE"
heres the link to the services for single men and to families in need .. they offer transitional housing for up to 2 yrs .. at least its a place to start as you find your footing in that area .. I know about it because my ex husband lived there after he had open heart surgery and his blood family wouldnt take him in while he healed. Shame of them of course but he was safe and feed untill he was able to take care of himself ( and get his SSD check ..) For him it was a life saver
