Default halloween 2009 in/around vancouver

heloo i have a 1 year old daughter my family and i are big on halloween and this is our first halloween in vancouver, wa. i was wondering what activties are around for both kids and adults and what/where/and how much these activitys are. i am espically intrested in kid safe trick or treating activities/places like anual kid fun places and trunk or treat type places/activitys. like wise my husband and i would also like to do some of the more adult fun like haunted houses and parties/clubs later on while our daughter is hanging out with grandma. so does anyone have info or any tips/help for our family? thank you so much for reading.

I'm not sure there's much for a 1yr old. At that age they usually love to dress up and help hand out candy at home. I have a 3 and 5yr old and we trick or treat in the neighborhood, there are a million kids and its loads of fun.

BTW - look up stats on the safety of Halloween. Its very safe to trick or treat, your neighbors do not turn into psycho killers once a year and try to poison children. In fact in the whole history of Halloween only one child has ever been poisoned and it was by his own father.

Sorry...Halloween paranoia is pet peeve of mine.

there are a couple of places. one is in Vancouver and the other is in Portland.Bi-Zi Farms is in Vancouver it is off of 119 and 74th kind of by the Christmas tree farm. They have a petting zoo, a hay ride, a corn maize it is 8$ for adults and Im not sure about little kids like yours.and also Sauvies Island in Portland across the St. Johns bridge. it doesnt cost anything to get in, but the corn maize cost 5$ the hay ride is free!. this is a cool place for the kiddo to romp around and have fun. Take a look at both places, and Im pretty sure you little one will have fun!

There will be a Trick-Or-Treat event 3pm-6pm at the Vancouver Mall where participating stores hand out candy.

Default Halloween in Vancouver

Here is a link to some local events tomorrow.

Trick or Treat Vancouver - Halloween in Vancouver for Kids & Families

My youngest is 2 and we walk our neighborhood. I've lived in Vancouver my whole life and have yet to encounter any problems on Halloween. Most neighborhoods are still safe areas to trick or treat.

I would strongly recommend if you're considering the Vancouver Mall to call during the day to try and find out what they plan to do and what they're handing out. Especially if you have a young child. I stopped taking my kids there a few years ago. Unfortunately, the stores in the mall decided to use the event as a means to market their stores and products. My kids wound up with as much store stickers, flyers, and coupons as they did candy and of course they were too young to understand.
