Red face Libraries in Vancouver?

How many branch Libraries do they have in the Vancouver area? I do a lot of research for my work and would like to know what kind of access I may have when we move up there this summer.

Vancouver has a whole bunch of branches - it's called the Fort Vancouver Regional Library - fvrl.org. I would say almost a dozen, but some of them are pretty far out, like Goldendale. The main library (currently by Clark College) is being relocated to a new facility in downtown Vancouver. The largest branch is the Cascade Park branch - it is really lovely. Brand new building and spacious. FVRL participates in ILL.

As a patron of FVRL you can get a card from Multnomah County Library They have a good database available online. You can also take a course at one of the nearby colleges and get access to a scholastic data base. They usually leave you on the system after your class is complete.

Lesser known is the fact that you can also access the Cannell Library at Clark College:

"Residents of community college service district 14 who are over age 16 may apply for a Clark College Library card with valid picture identification, proof of current residence and age. Some library services are not available to community visitors."

Cannell Library Policies

Easily the best academic library in town.
