Coming from New York, you shouldn't feel a thing.

Gets pretty cold in NY, doesn't it?

Not sure what's going on of special interest, hopefully someone more in the loop will step in and help you out with that.

Where will you be staying, somewhere in the downtown area? Have you been to Vancouver before?

I'll bet you luck out when you come, nothing but warm, sunny days during your visit.

I am actually living in la now. Will be staying at the westin baysbore or something. I lived in van a few years ago and loved kits and commercial drive. Maybe I'll check out north van this trip.

That's a great area you'll be staying .. right in the hub with easy access to everywhere you want to get to.

Lots of seawalls, great walking areas, Stanley Park at your doorstep, walk down Denman to English Bay, more sea walks .. take the little ferry for a couple dollars to Granville Island, walk along more sea walls for a few blocks and you're in Kits.

Also within walking distance to the sea bus that takes you to North Van, lands at the market called the Lonsdale Quay. Or jump on a bus to commercial .. always interesting also.
