Hello! I am considering moving to Vancouver for many reasons - one of which is to find some relief from allergies.

I was born in Vancouver and currently live in New Orleans where I have terrible allergies. I used to live in San Francisco where I had no allergies.

Is Vancouver known to be a place where residents suffer from allergies from mold, pollen or air pollution? I understand that everyone has different sensitivities, but in general, what are the conditions?

Also - are there any issues with dust mites, cockroaches, or bed bugs in Vancouver?

In general, I find Vancouver very good for allergies. I didn't experience any allergies there this spring, and I usually did get them in my old city (in Central Canada). I think this is because of the coastal air, the nature of the local vegetation, and all of the rain. These all conspire to give Vancouver super clean air, and there's very little air pollution because of the lack of highways or heavy industry.
