Default Moving to Vancouver, Canada

I am planning to move to Vancouver or its surrounding areas in 2013 from Indiana, USA. I have so many questions to ask about Vancouver. My main question at this time is about getting a work visa. I am a graphic designer for 15 years, and will be getting a second BA in December in costuming. I applied to see if I'm eligible for a work visa. It was replied back to me saying that I'm not eligible for a work visa, but if I get a job offer, my eligibility will change. My question is should I do anything more at this point towards getting a work visa, or just wait until I get a job offer?

Some info here. Might want to post in an immigration forum, most Canadians haven't had to to worry about immigrating.

Just so you know. Vancouver is saturated with people in the arts. Applying for a design job your probably going against a couple hundred people for that job. You are better off in Seattle.
