Hi, I thinking of moving to Vancouver from Ireland next year, 2013. I'll be going alone, don't know many people there, a few distant cousins only. I'm 24 and a civil/structural engineer. Looking for general advice, accommodation, getting a job (as an engineer or in general). Any advice is appreciated.
Beware that the cot of living is higher in Vancouver and Canada then Ireland anyways best of luck but I really can't help so you might as well wait around for someone else to come
If you're lucky, you might find a job in your field. It may take a while. And each province has its own body to regulate and license the members. Not to discourage you, however BC lost the most jobs in the past 2 months.
