I am a dual citizen, and my wife is Canadian and lives in Vancouver. She wants to raise our kid in Canada if possible. If I were to get a job in Bellingham, would it be feasible to live in White Rock and have daily commute to Bellingham. I plan on getting a Nexus pass.
Another question is, with a Nexus pass, even during busy hours, how long is the wait between the Vancouver and US border? Thanks
One of the Whitecaps players did it for a while, in the opposite direction (live in Bellingham and worked in Vancouver) to gain a US green card. I've seen it done. White Rock proper (i.e. not Surrey, but municipality of White Rock) is pretty nice, and travel to Bellingham will usually be under an hour, plus there are worse commutes that people do locally. It's harder and longer to drive to downtown Vancouver than it is to Bellingham from there.
