I am travelling with my 3 years old. Is it safe? We are going to have a car. But what's the best way to tour downtown Vancouver? (I don't mind paying parking)
Yes, it's safe. The Sylvia is a lovely, respectable old hotel in a nice location near the water with a gorgeous view overlooking the bay and beaches. Bus, bicycle and on foot are the best ways to tour downtown Vancouver if you have lots of leisure time, otherwise a car does come in handy if you want to tour any distances outside of the immediate downtown area. I think it depends on how long you'll be visiting the city, how much leisure time you'll have and what parts of the city or outskirts you want to visit to determine which is the most suitable method for getting around. I think if you're touring with a 3 y.o. child it's good you'll have a car to go some places, it's more convenient and you'll get to see more and there is a lot to see.
Thanks! We will have a car. It's good to hear the hotel is in safe area. Thanks again.
