Why? I monitor marine channels because there's so much water activity around West Vancouver, and all the flotsam and jetsam float over this way. Due to service overlay your marine radio picks up a lot of activity as a co-response with railroad, port authority, and regular Vancouver city police and north shore RCMP.
floating abandoned boats, drug drops from freighters, illegal rowboaters in the inlet (oh, that would be moi) i.e. information I really need (I'm not visible on radar; you can't see me)
