Marmite and Vegemite are yeast extract spreads that are high in B vitamins and are enjoyed by people from Australia and New Zeland also other UK countries. They are savory and are a great alternative to Peanut butter and jelly.

They have a rich taste - Marmite is a bit sweeter and Vegemite i bit lees so.
They are good for a quick breakfast spread on toast with a butter soy butter and Marmite of Vegemite. Yum!

A bit more elaborate is the Marmite/ Vegemite wrap, spread a thin bread wrap with butter and follow with a layer of Marmite or Vegemite.
Stuff wrap with shredded lettuce, shredded carrots, shreaded cabbage, diced riipe tomatoes and sprouts.

Top with Datya cheese and heat if desired,

mmm mmmm good!

Does antone else have any experience with these snacks? It is great to have on hand for the school year.
I must admit it's a "Love it Or Hate it Kng of Food"
It can be obtained at Whole Foods Market, and oerhaps some other stores of which I am not aware.
