I don't understand this statement.

I ponder everything.
I do a lot of thinking.

I can be standing outside, staring at the grass...and it will make me ponder.

Does everyone else just live such an unexamined life?

I thought it was pretty straightforward, if watching the documentary makes you think about things, makes you seek other information, etc....then clearly the documentary has affected you.

Yes, it did.
Well, not that one, because I knew about most of that info already.
But my point is that LOTS of things make me seek out other information, etc.
I find that things as they are presented (no matter how 'reliable' the source) usually have another side.
And I don't like to form opinions without doing a LOT of research.

Which is why I value and respect MY opinion over other people's. I doubt they have spent the amount of time I have thinking about all sides of the equation. People enjoy being spoonfed.

My comments weren't about you, instead I suggested that a good documentary is one that affects people. To counter that idea, you started to talk about yourself..
