Ive had this kind and veggie shreds, veggie shreds is God awful. This one is so much better. But going from dairy cheese to a vegan cheese will take some getting used to.

i love daiya! try the pepperjack, it just has a hint of spice to it which makes it better than the mozzarella imo
enjoy!
i'm currently in australia = no daiya
we do have cheezly here which is pretty great but $10
I've started making a garden veggie pizza. Literally--from my garden. I brush the dough with olive oil and add chopped chard, tomatoes, roasted eggplant and zuchinni, garlic, and because I'm not vegan, a little feta (but it is totally not needed). I top it with basil and balsimic vinegar after it is done baking. It is amazing!
I've never had vegan cheese that tasted cheeselike. Does any of them?
If you've been vegan long enough, the goal stops being "how similar is this to the curdled milk of another species which i don't even remember anymore" and starts being more about just eating something that's yummy and chewy and stretchy and makes your pizza and/or crackers taste great.
So on their own merits there are various vegan cheeses suitable for various uses
Pizza / Melts - Daiya / Melting Cheezly / Notzarella
Crackers/Cold - Dr. Cow / Vegusto / Spreadable Cheezly
Sauce / Dip - Teese Nacho Sauce / Nutritional Yeast Sauce with/without cashews (retail: food for lovers / nacho mom's) or DIY cheap and easy recipes
In short, the answer is "no." None of them actually taste like cheese. They might melt like it, they might be salted like it, they might chew and stretch like it, but no, they don't taste like it.
My first "vegan" pizza, is a pizza I still enjoy:
No cheese, no fake cheese, no analogue anything; just fresh washed/dried spinach sauteed in olive oil and minced garlic, scattered over a pizza shell with sliced garden tomatoes.
Well the cheese does taste good but no it's obviously not going to taste like cheese made from milk.
