I have eaten 1/4 avocado with my tacos or salad whichever is preferred that evening for quite a while. The Vegan Ceasar dressing I eat has only 70 calories and 7 grams of fat. The high fat vegan ranch one has 15 grams of fat and 140 calories. I am kind of scared to add avocado on top of the 15 gram fat one so I eat it with the 7. I already am getting now 54 grams of fat on a 1700 calorie diet (on most days, some 45 grams). That is probably the top limit for me as I do not want to cause more problems being a vegetarian than I would if I were eating more animal products (the whole reason I'm doing this diet is for better health).

Dandj believe me if the fat grams and oils weren't an issue I would be eating those potato chips and cake with frosting every day! I could easily get 2500 calories that way. Potato chips and dip and sweets, cakes and candies are my two weaknesses.

I'm with ya!

And just so you know, I wasn't minimizing your dilemma. It's just that most people have the opposite problem.

Bake with coconut oil. Liquid oils you use to eat should be eaten raw -- walnut oil on salad for instance -- rather than oxidized by high heat.

If you are avoiding fat -- and why you would be I'm not sure since you seem ready to shrivel up and blow away -- then you can always turn to sweets. Brownies with walnuts, whopping slices of apple pie, baked apples filled with peanut butter. Or other carbs. Big plate of pasta here, big honkin' baked potato filled with chili there.

You statement that whole grains and fruits "block you up" rather than making the mail move on time -- which is usually the case, even more so if you have an allergy or sensitivity to those foods -- makes me wonder whether you are eating so little that you are losing the ability to tolerate the sensation of having food inside you. The only answer to that is to eat, eat, EAT until your stomach and intestines get used to it again.

People keep saying fatty things when your fat grams are perfect for the goal of 1700-1800.

http://www.freedieting.com/tools/nut...calculator.htm
^^^calc to prove it

Don't listen to the advice of eating more fatty things. Your fat intake should be between 40-50g for your calorie goals. The only way you should have more fat is if you do low carb veggie eating. Which really won't help with putting weight on as easily as regular carb intake.

Eating a ton of fat is how to be the "unhealthy vegetarian".

Its better to be a light weight than fatten in an unhealthy way.

Your are still in the healthy range so unless your body fat is too low or your period is getting wacky you should not worry about it. But if you really are..do check out the spark people page.
