When my wife started her diet to prepare for her gastric sleeve surgery, the dietician in her surgeon's office said not to use any creamers in her coffee. Said they all have too much sugar in them. Told her to stick with milk and was pleased when told we just drink 2%.
You might try different brands and formulations of nut milks. Sweetened, unsweetened, vanilla...
My husband likes Almond Breeze unsweetened almond milk, but can't stand the same thing from Silk.
I looooove coconut milk, myself. Sweetened, un, vanilla, canned, pina colada...
Ingredients
Non-Dairy Product Water, Cane Sugar, Palm Oil, contains 2% or less of each of the following: Sodium Caseinate* (A Milk Derivative), Dipotassium Phosphate, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Mono and Diglycerides, Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate, Polysorbate 60, Carrageenan, Salt.
They are junk in my opinion but that's beside the point. I would rather have the real dairy so I use heavy whipping cream and add vanilla extract to it for my creamer. Organic HWC is best, no hormones.
FYI, that is Dairy. A vegan wouldn't eat that. I have tried "silk" on several occasions and yuck, I wish I liked it but I find it "throw up" nasty. Same with oatmeal milk.

My post from some years ago may have been in the vegan forum but my point was not about whether or not it was vegan. My point was (and it's been some time now) that it is junk. Those type "Creamers" have nothing to do with Cream which IS dairy. THAT was my main point. But now that you mention it, and I hadn't noticed, I looked it up and yes, technically it may not be vegan but it is as much removed from dairy as you can probably get.

Sodium caseinate is a compound that forms when casein proteins are chemically extracted from skim milk.
I'm not vegan by the way. I try to make good food choices but they are not based on ethics, they are based on health.
