Original Tabasco is my favorite addition to hash browns. Not too much, just a touch and maybe a bit of salt also.

My spouse likes hers with onions, catsup.

Ah, the guilty pleasure of crispy hash browns grilled with onion and topped with diced tomato and pickled jalapeños

I love hot sauce on hashbrowns. There are so many hashbrown bakes that can be made ahead of time that can involve eggs, cheese, or vegan cheeses, sour cream or yogurt or vegan yogurt, and vegan sausage crumbles.

Serve with a tomato, cucumber, and red onion salad and you have brunch. Or a casual dinner.

I do not eat them often, but when I do, it is just straight up - no toppings.

A layer of hash browns...
A thin layer of spinach on top of the 'taters...
An egg or two (any way you like!)...

topped off with some hollandaise...

Ketchup is too sweet in my opinion. Try some Sambal or Sriracha.
