Hello!

I am very interested in becoming a vegetarian. Can anyone recommend a book to guide me to this goal? I'm basically looking for a "Vegetarianism for Dummies" - type book. Thanks for your help!

Your best bet is "Becoming Vegetarian" by Melina and Davis. It is written by two dieticians and provides sound guidance on building a healthy vegetarian diet.

Mods: Can we please merge this thread with this one? Thanks!

OK, let us know if you decide to give it a try - you'll find lots of support here.

Also, the book Sablebaby recommended may be a good thing to read as well. Skinny B*&ch can tell you why you should do it while Becoming Vegetarian is good for how to do it (and do it right).

For those who are new to being a vegetarian or vegan. Here is a thought to keep you strong in your convictions:

"Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's acorn which held its ground."
