Anyone really into Animal Welfare here,... I know there are some!

Anyway, my point here is anyone who is active in animal welfare issues

* do you get newsletters/info via email sent to you? on current issues etc.
from which organizations do you subscribe to? or do you just look on their sites and participate that way?

What do you do with it...
Which do you like and like to spend time on???

I get way too many!!! my fault of course because I sign up for it but just wondering what you guys do via internet (if anything) for animal welfare issues thru animal compassionate organizations.

I am off and on with it and try to keep up with everything, but there is sooo much. I need to tone it down a bit and limit my subscriptions to just a few. If I had a choice I would read about environmental issues too but my first love is for animals and their life!

Currently I am subscribed to, off the top of my head...

COK, Compassion Over Killing
Compassion Over Killing

HSUS, Humane Society of the United States
The Humane Society of the United States

IDA, In Defense of Animals
In Defense of Animals

Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute
Welcome to Born Free USA united with Animal Protection Institute

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) - Neal Barnard, M.D., president

Farm Sanctuary,
Farm Sanctuary | Watkins Glen, NY

Defenders of Wildlife
Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund

hope some of you will find this interesting and useful... even though a lot is sad to me, I try to stay informed and even do a bit of participating as well at times.

I am signed up with most of the ones you are, also Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, Farm Sanctuary in Woodstock. Yes, they are mostly very sad, except the Best Friends and the Farm Sanctuary, but I like to know what is going on. If possible I stay away from anything too graphic though, already seen my fill of that

I get WAY too many in the mail.

I will open them and leave the generic letter in places I go, grocery, out to eat, movies etc.

Good one Jjingle! Thanks.

cr1039, yeah I too get sooo much in the mail. And I Always think of leaving them places as you mentioned but haven't really done so much. I do have a big box of such info though and still plan to leave around different places.

yup! me too!

and I love watching that show at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, so moving and sad beginnings but happier endings!

Do you guys do any of those email letters that they have on their websites for you to "sign" and edit the letter and they "send" it?
