I know that cruise ships have the reputation of providing FAR too much food. Surely there would be a number of options such as fruit and vegetables, and you'd think there would be a number of vegetarian selections. Whether there's much strict vegan food or not ..... ???
Back in the "good old days," you used to be able to order a vegetarian meal on an airplane -- perhaps if you let the cruise line know ahead of time, they can make sure they have appropriate options for you.
(BTW: Where are you cruising to, and can I come with? )

Vegetarian Times and Yoga Journal were sponsoring a vegetarian cruise for awhile, not sure if they still are. It sounded wonderful, though. Imagine, not only gourmet vegetarian and vegan fare, but a whole ship filled with like-minded people! Alas, kids and finances mean I'm not taking a cruise anytime soon...there is the yearly Bare Naked Ladies cruise that would be fun, too.... *sigh*
I'm considering a Hawaiian cruise. It's through Norwegian; so there is a little more flexibility with dining. Plus, there are no totally at sea days, which will allow me to disembark and find food if needed.
The website says they can accommodate a vegetarian diet with 30 day notice. So, that's encouraging. I'm going to call and talk to them; just thought I would post ahead of time to see if anyone had experienced this prior.

I traveled on 2 of their cruises without much issue. Not as a vegan though.
