Is there one thing missing which would make Ventura County an even better place for you to live?

Hopefully we can avoid snarky comments from the Peanut Gallery Brigade, but somehow I doubt it

Personally, I am having a hard time thinking up even one thing since I am very satisfied with what Ventura County has to offer. But I don't require much to be happy...Family & friends nearby, lots of hiking trails, plenty of picnicking areas, beautiful beaches and a slower, quieter pace.

I suppose a small to medium sized international airport would be nice, in order to avoid LAX.

ROFLMAO! That could very well be true But hey, law and order keeps my boring suburban hometown of Simi peaceful and clean, and thats just the way I like it

I consider social workers to be a far worse beast than the local police. Now there's some REAL Nazis for ya

I actually like Ventura County the way it is. Each city has it's uniqueness which is how it should be. Fillmore, Santa Paula, Ojai, Simi, Camarillo, Oxnard all have something different in a way. I do however think they could improve public transportation between the cities for those who need it, clean up Thompson Blvd (although I hear it's a lot better than when I was last there) and not roll up the side walks so early. As for an airport, There is always Santa Barbara or Santa Paula for some....

A place is pretty much defined by those who live and care about it. It's America so you can't get away from ugly soulless strip malls with their chain stores/franchises, which is a shame, as everywhere begins to look the same.
