A small town with lots of charm. I'm sure some of our posters out there know of things to see and do in Moorpark.

Default Old Town Moorpark

I recommend a leisurely walk along High Street, the historic district of Moorpark. The Pepper Trees that line the street provide shade as well as adding a touch of days gone by.

The High Street Arts Center originally started out as the El Rancho built in 1927, which had the distinction of being the only "talking movie" theater in east Ventura County. This building was also in the news throughout the years with claims of being haunted.

I don't know if it is still around, but I used to go to the Moorpark Melodrama when I was a kid.

I went there about 15 years ago. Sat pretty close to Ron Cey who lived (or may still live) in Moorpark.

Great recent shot of Ron and Bill Russell, Davey Lopes, and Steve Garvey taken by a fan at Dodger Stadium

I think he's the opposite. His nickname is "The Penquin" so, I think they and he walk toes out.

See for yourself

Was it 1980 or 1981 when he got hit in the head by a fastball thrown by Goose Gossage? I remember it was pretty brutal but it didn't keep Cey out of the game for long.

Moorpark Zoo is a great place to take the kids. Have lunch on the high street - there was an AWESOME sandwich sandwich shop in town, a very yellow house.
