So SafeWise, a company that makes home security systems, says,
"We’ve examined data from the most recent FBI Crime in the U.S. Report and married it with our own thorough research..."

Wonder how they do that, since the FBI only reports on cities with populations over 100,000?

Oxnard with over 200,000 was listed as one of the safest cities in the Nation for cities with population of 200,000 or more. Oxnard is in the top 25. Not bad if you ask me. When we compare crime here in Ventura County other cities can claim to be even safer. Still lets look at apples to apples. Lets also consider what we are comparing ourselves to. If you are looking at Oxnard and are in some other area, why not try comparing your cities crime to Oxnard or other Ventura County cities. I would bet that many people live in areas that have much more crime than is in the Ventura County area.
