Actually Valencia and Santa Clarita feel a lot like Simi Valley to me. I'd be happy to live in either.

I'm in the San Fernando Valley which is a distinct third place compared to the above.

I didn't see anyone mention Simi Valley. It's definitely a more conservative, Christian neighborhood, but the 118 isn't bad for traffic, and it's a quiet family town. More affordable than Thousand Oaks, but I personally prefer TO.
