My wife and I are thinking about moving to Oxnard area. Can anyone tell me how long the commute would be to Chatsworth? I would probably be leaving about 6:00 in the morning and coming back to oxnard around 4:00.

Or I can leave at others times it is flexible.

Is that too crazy? It would be a company car and company gas.

Thanks!

At that hour there shouldn't be to much traffic but it is still like 47 miles. Coming home may be a bit worse. I noticed they widened the 23 so as far as I know it moves.

You'd also have several alternate routes:

118, 23, 101
118 all the way
118 to Santa Rosa Road
118, 34, 101
118, 34 all the way
118 to Center School Road through Camarillo to Los Posas (little known short cut I used to use): Center School to Fairway to Valley Vista to Crestview to Los Posas

An Oxnard-Chatsworth commute? On purpose? Amtrak works, and I think it's about $13 each way.

No, not really. You could take the 101 the whole way or take the 118-23-101. Most the traffic is on the 101.
