New to the area; can anyone give us an idea how long to expect an early morning (6-8am...) drive to LAX airport to take on a Monday from the Ventura/Oxnard area? Thanks

If you leave at 6AM from say, 101/1 you'd probably get to LAX around 730AM with a little slowing up the 405 Sepulveda Pass. Probably the same thing if you took PCH but PCH is a huge single point failure; one accident on it and you will miss your flight. From Thousand Oaks leaving at 5AM I would drive by the 405/Century instersection at 5:40 so you are leaving one hour later than that and Oxnard is farther away.

Check out Ventura County Roadrunner vans and also the Van Nuys Flyaway.

Cheapest parking is at lots B and C.

If you are going to be gone a long time, consider renting a cheap car one way each way; might be cheaper than weeks of parking.

Just priced a van from Roadrunner for our vacation. For 3 people its $67 one way from Thousand Oaks to LAX. Cheaper than parking for a week and the gas it would take to drive there and back

As far as time to drive from Oxnard to LAX - Dont leave at 8! If you do, it'll take a LONG time to get to the airport.. The traffic really builds up over time, and the later in the morning you leave, the longer it takes. The 405 can really be a mess. So if you have a choice, leave as close to 6 as possible. Just to give you an idea, I recently drove to West LA (Culver City), left my house about 6:30 and got there at just before 8am.
