Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me about the types of retail shops you have in Bennington or Manchester area. I know about the Outlet Mall. I saw that Bennington has a Kmart, what about Target or Walmart, Best Buy, Circut City, and what type of fast food places are there, if any? Thanks for the help

Bennington has plenty of big box stores and fast food places, including Walmart. Manchester doesn't have any, except for McDonald's.

Bennington has Wal-Mart, Home Depot & KMart. Burger King & McDonalds. Dunkin Donuts. KFC. Thats about it. Most people head to the Albany area to do any major shopping as there are big malls and Targets over there. Pittsfield, MA (about 1/2 hour or so) has a small mall with a Target.
My step-sister is in Bennington and these are the places they head to.

There's not a single Target in the state of Vermont.

Makes me sad. I loved shopping at the Bulls Eye Boutique back home. Tried shopping there online but just isn't the same.

On Rte 5 (Brattleboro) you will find some stores that qualify as boxes: Staples, Home Depot, for example. In the same area (off Exit 3) there are also some of the fast food chains: KfC, Wendys.

But small shops are plentiful and have lots of choices.

Thaks all for the responses. I am having fun on this message board. Everyone is very helpful. I know that some of the questions us, is it "flatlanders" ask might seem silly. But you guys always answer them in a nice way. It seems funny to me, when I hear someone say, go to another state to go to the mall or Target. All my stores are just down the street. I love to drive and am looking forward to driving to New York state to go to a Target.
