...and here's a site regarding "Sustainability" "Smartgrowth" etc etc etc which should help fill in the picture of Burlington if you're interested.

I saved the Local Motion site to my favorites. They just don't have things like this where I live. Like you said, I wish there were more pictures though. That's okay, it gives me more to look forward to seeing in person anyway. I will be taking lots of video and pictures when I get there. I also love to roller skate, so I appreciate these trails. And yes, they do appear to go all the way to Canada!

Ahhh - I'm so happy: There's my photo, in the collection here at the site - right next to the photo of the truck!

Chaz

There are many great areas in Vermont, it all depends on what you are looking for when you live here. I looked at Montpiler, Middlebury, and Essex. I choose Burlington for a few facts that have been mentioned in this thread earlier, but also for me, it had the feel of community and city mixed. I like to be able to take public transport and be whereever I need to go, and yet I can eat things that are grown within 100 Miles of here as well. I chose this city because it reflected me and my family. I love the history here, as well as the history that we make day to day.

Sevdie -

The leaves are already starting to turn. I'm not sure I'd advise waiting 'till October to visit: Bare trees and not particularly scenic. "Stick season" is short but can be a bit dreary...Come for the gorgeous Autumnal colours if possible!

They're turning already? Wow. I don't think I will be able to make it before October though.

Sevdie -

That bike path will be fun even if we're past peak colour. But have a look here
