Default a few questions regarding montpelier.

hello everyone. this is my first post on here.

my fiancee and i are planning on moving from new york to vermont in late july / early august to continue our education at colleges in different towns - her in burlington, me in white river junction. we wanted to get a place together at the midway point between our two schools and it's looking like montpelier is our best bet. before we make that the focus of our search, i wanted to check here to see if anyone had any input on the subject. is there anything that would be a better midway point between the two towns?

along with that question, i must also ask if anyone has a good website or suggestion on where to find listings on apartments to view. so... uhm... does anyone have one? i've looked all over "apartment finder" websites and craigslist and haven't come up with many listings for the area.

thanks for your time.

Did you check the local paper Times Argus Online Montpeleir is 60 miles from WRJ, 35miles from Btown. I lived in Montpelier and go there about once a week and I love the place.

If your looking for alittle cheaper and alittle closer to the midway point you might want to consider Barre. It's not as pretty of a city as Montpelier but does have some interesting attributes.

I would second that. Also, you might look into Northfield, which is almost exactly half-way between the two, or closer to WRJ, but cute would be Randolph. Good luck!
