Default Special education and adult special education services

Hi,

My husband loves Vermont and would like to retire there. We have a 15-year old special needs son who will require help his entire life. How are special education services in Vermont and how are the adult special education services?

Mari

I'd love to hear about this as well; we have a 12 yr old son with autism. Hubby loves VT too, and wants to explore!

I'll keep an eye to see if anyone responds but, in general, Vermont isn't known for their special education or adult special ed. Too bad since it's such a lovely state. My son will need a lot of support his entire life so we need a state where, when we die, he will continue to receive good services.

Minnesota is my home state and that's the other place that we are seriously considering (more so than Vermont). I'd have to hear great things about Vermont spec ed to change my mind

Our family is considering a move from So. California to Minnesota. Special Education is a huge factor in our decision. Any info would be great!
