Oh! Lawson's isn't that new. He's been around for a while. Excellent beer. And I've been to Hill Farmstead twice now. His beer is amazing, though expensive.

Yes $10 to $20 dollar bottles of beer aren't uncommon these days.

As a Jets fan, I'm thinking about an expensive beer or wine splurge for the game. If I do it though, they'll lose. Should have done it last week.

That's cheap compared to the $15 500ml bottles at Hill Farmstead. At least his growler fills are only $15 (though the growler itself is $10).

do you have any suggestions for a good vermont ale I can find in a 6pack (as opposed to 22 etc). looking for a good one-a-day beer

I've always been a big fan of Long Trail. Their Long Trail Ale, IPA, Pale Ale, and Double Bag are all really good and come in 6 packs. If you consider Harpoon a VT brewery, most of their beers are really good, too. Rock Art has some 6 packs, but I'm not a huge fan of most of them. Their 22's are all usually awesome. If you want a Rock Art 6 pack, I'd go for the limited stuff, like Midnight Madness, though that might only be available at the brewery.

i agree i don't really like the rock art 6packs much, probably not coincidence since the 22s are usually bigger beers

i picked up a rock art 22oz of "Black moon ipa" (a limited release in conjunction with the hunger mountain coop) also to try with a friend and got a chance to try the Lawson's maker's Mark Bourbon Barrel-Aged Fayston Maple Imperial Stout which was great but will be better in a few years i bet (I am not too good about sitting on good beer), already spent my beer budget this month anyway! we should probably have a dedicated VT beer thread!
