Wow...what crazy weather! Yesterday we woke to 45 degrees and pouring rain and now today....2' of snow and still coming down! I don't think we'll beat the Valentine's Day Storm of 2007 but we should break the Top 5 for biggest snowstorms since record keeping started taking place!
Lets hear those snow totals when this is all said and done!

Must be at least a foot in the Rutland area by now (a little hard to tell with the wind blowing it around).

It's funny really, the other day when it hit 50 degrees here and my foot broke through the ice on a beaver pond, I was thinking that's okay, things would be thawed out some soon and the ice would be gone. Now this today. Maybe the last week of the month I'll have some open water. lol

Had to go rescue the missus this morning as she couldn't get her car moving after her overnight job. Yeah, 2' isn't too far off. I had the driveway about 1/4 shoveled when the call came in. At least it was the end nearest the road so I was able to get the 4WD truck out. Visibility was bad at the time and the only vehicles on the road had plows on em.

When we got back home the town plow had made another pass and it looked like I hadn't even shoveled in the first place. I got through the big bank without a problem. She, on the other hand, eased into the driveway when she should have gunned it and got hung up all over again.

Hey - at least we got to spend some quality time together on this, our 25th anniversary!

We just rolled in last night all depressed from driving through rain all day, and as soon as we got to town it turned to snow and hasn't let up. by the time I got out this morning I was thinking WOW, this is a decent powder day even for VT. I was able to get out and break a few miles of trails on the Catamount on snowshoe but I was really tempted to ditch out on work to fully enjoy it!

We got about a foot and a half in Montpelier.

Snow day, so my son and I went out and tapped our trees. Now, if the temps go above freezing the way they've been saying we'll be all set.
