Are there many organic farmers in VT? How extensive is Vermont's farmers market?
Is there a large population of retirees in VT?
How do Vermonters approach "outsiders"?
There is a typo in the opening post. I appologize. It hsould be farmer's co-op.

I'm an "outsider" (non-native Vermonter) who moved here in 1996. I've always felt welcome. In fact, I've felt more at home in Vermont than any of the several other states where I've lived, including my native South Florida where I've got tons of family. I'm staying here. Vermont is home.

Of course, everyone has his/her own experience. Difficult times may not be caused by being "from away." Sometimes a place just doesn't take.

Sherlycatmom that link on sustainable farming is great. I caught the end of a CBC radio show about Vermont having some sort of co-operative with Canadians schools and hospitals. I wish states would follow in line...more local control can save this country!
I have only been as far as St Johnbury VT but I wanted to see Burlington, I out and out missed it. May make a point to see it.
