I've been reading a lot about VT state/municiple taxes, and as wondering hom many people commute from NY? It looks like a 25-35 minute drive to Whitehall NY from Rutland. Do many people do that? Or are the taxes just as bad there?

I don't know about the tax situation in that part of the state. In the Burlington area, we have dozens of people (at FAHC) who commute from Plattsburgh. Much more affordable with taxes and the price of homes. The commute time is about 1 hour.
