Minor earthquake
Ok, we just had yet another reminder as to why my family and I want to leave So Calif for Vermont.... we just had an earthquake .It wasnt a big one but enough to scare the holy heck out of my daughter and myself. God I hate these things. It was only 4.5 and the epi-center was 7 miles SW from where I live. I guess no sleep for me tonight.

Glad that you are okay, but at least earthquakes are expected in CA. Tornadoes are NOT expected in Brooklyn, but we had one yesterday!
A category F2, I believe in Bayridge...I hope Arel is okay.

We have earthquakes in Vermont. None that are too big though. Just enough to rattle the dishes. There is a fairly big fault that runs through here up into Quebec. "They" say there could be a big one someday...not in my lifetime I would guess.

Oh yeah isnt Arel in Brooklyn? I hope she is ok too. The weather is going nuts!! You certainly dont here of tornados in brooklyn, and all the heat waves that are going on across the country. My heart goes out to all that are having to deal with the heat, the floods, the tornados, just all of it. Yeah earthquakes happen a lot out here, but mostly small ones. Last night was kinda scarey, it was a huge jolt, and what sucks is, it was dark when it happen. We are all fine here, and that is what matters

Yes, I did read that there is a fault in Vermont. It is the small, quite ones we have to worry about..lol. They had no idea the there was a Northridge fault until the morning of January 17, 1994. Now that was an earthquake !!! We still get aftershocks from that one, very small ones, but they still happen.
