Cool! I wonder if that's considered freezing fog since temps are below freezing? But I guess if there's no ice forming on surface it wouldn't? Types of Fog

So it looks like every Climo station in Vermont hit freezing this season except Rutland and Bennington.

If anyone is on twitter let NWS know if you had frost.

"It's quite chilly out across the North Country this morning. How cold is it where you live, and did you have a frost?"

Took the dogs out and the fog is burning off quite fast...all gone over the house but still quite a bit of it out over the trees/valley below...you can see the frost on the cut grass in this pic:

Some close ups...definitely have hard frost this morning! I didn't cover my cukes but we'll see if they survive ha ha.

Quick Stat:

So far this month Burlington Max temp is 89. Last year it hit 91 in September.

In 2004 & 2006, 80 was the max.

On the flip side..

Lowest temp this month is 32, that's the lowest September temp since 2000. Wow, I didn't know that until I looked it up. So for 13 years it actually never dropped below 35 in September but this year it did.

GFS hinting this changes after about October 6th.

I don't know how much the weather has to do with it (I assume a lot), but the foliage is exceptionally nice this year. Lots of reds and oranges, unlike some recent years were there was an overabundance of yellows. Just my take.
