For snow totals in Vermont area...

NWS Albany Storm Reports

For the totals on the overall storm see this post .. and this post for selected snow totals. New Mexico 41"! . Couple got trapped in their car for 20 hours under a 12 FOOT snow drift.

Check out the awesome site by Daryl at IEM. Choose snowfall since July 1st to see the season snow total. NWS Burlington or Albany really needs to start having an official climo site to fill in the gap there in VT

IEM :: Map of Daily NWS CLImage reports

Burlington 7.2" for the season.
Buffalo 1.0"!
Caribou 30.2"

Yeah we got about 4" or so but sleet went on for most of the day. I will say, the roads were an absolute mess. I went out at lunch, and then again around 6pm, and Route 100 honestly looked as if it had not been plowed once. Things are significantly better this morning.

Happy Northwest Year!

Not a typo. We are going to change to a more NorthWest flow starting the new 2016 Year.

Pattern is changing and maybe we'll be calling it abrupt? We'll see. These cold air masses will get more common now. Each time colder maybe. No more well above normal temps.

Perhaps Sub zero lows Monday/Tuesday? First back to back days staying below freezing. Time to make the snow!

Yup, snowing for the last hour or so, so nice.

I'm not sure if I've been hearing thunder as well, or if someone is blasting nearby, or if the Underhill range is doing some serious training lol...but it hasn't stopped!
