This looks like a weather setup that we had in Burlington in the mid-1970s. Snow/wet/ice/snow. It made for some seriously bad driving, as you never knew when you were going to hit a slick spot under the snow, and the ruts from the first snow got frozen in place and covered with a deceptive nice layer of new snow. Y'all drive safe. Don't ruin your reputation as being better winter drivers than southern states drivers.

Yeah I'm in Waterbury Center and it felt like we got close to a foot! Just got back from errands and it's a mess - full on sleet right now and all the dirt roads are pretty slick...driveway turning into an ice rink before my eyes lol. Right now I'd like a change back to snow please.

Seems like most of the snow that fell yesterday melted from the rain today. In the Rutland area anyways.

I'm just looking at weather again.
Well, they changed the temp forecast for southern Vt on Wednesday.
Now they're predicting -12 for the low.
That's a wee bit brisk.
Lol.
Ugh.

We're supposed to hit -22 on Thursday night. I think really once you get below single digits it all kinda feels the same - f***ing cold.

Yeah, this cold coming is impressive. The Polar Vortex is dropping south into Ontario and spilling all that cold southbound.

Christmas 2017 Snowstorm

Hope everyone is at their destination safely on Christmas. Maybe some have plans to Ski and Snowmobile?

Warnings are up for New England with widespread 6-12" of snow to fall tonight and tomorrow.

Wicked.. the consistency is so impressive down to NYC maybe 7 days in a row below freezing.. more for you guys. No end in sight either..

Burlington max of 2 today breaks the 8 record in 1993.

Save this link. Shows the current temps for each station in Vermont under "Air" and you can sort the Highs and Lows for the day.

I have it sorted on the coldest max temp

Newport didn't pass -9! They are currently there now.
Rutland warmed up to 5 now back below zero at 6pm
