good for Jay. The water park deal looks fun.

Stuck in VT 249: Jay Peak's Pump House - YouTube

I wonder what Mad River valley resorts will do to contend with the warming trend

Did you all see the new USDA Hardiness map? Many places in VT have shifted up a half zone.

USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map

Going to go skiing Sugarbush tomorrow. It was a beautiful day today, and I ski'd Mad River yesterday and today, conditions were thin but still a lot of fun.

We were 12 degrees warmer than the posted temp for Burlington. The temp in Burlington now is 68 degrees at 9pm. Did these temps come from the weather station in South Burlington? Each of the local stations (news) had the Burlington high at 76.

The time stamp was earlier in the day. The highs were much warmer than those readings.

Just like a day in May - and 99% of the snow is gone at the lower elevations. It was hard to keep in mind that St. Patrick's Day was only yesterday and technically it's still winter... The weather today was absolutely delightful for us, but you just know this is going to screw up the trees. I passed a bunch of sugar houses today and none of them were boiling.

Wat are your other tires? All seasons or summer? If we get snow at this point, it won't stick around more than few hours and roads will be mostly just wet. All seasons should be able to handle anything we get from here on in. Summer tires - if you're in the Champlain Valley or the southern end of the state, go for it. Otherwise, I'd give it another week and then check the long-term forecast.

I don't like 80 degree temps that much. This is pretty crazy!
